The Village of Cridersville operates under a mayor-council form of government. The Village Hall is located at 110 W. Main Street. The Village Council meets at 7:30 p.m. on the second Monday of every month in the Village Hall. The Village Council President is Eric West. To better serve the community, council members form committees. These committees concentrate on specific matters pertaining to the Village and residents.
The Council determines the level of service the Village will provide to its citizens. The governing body of the Village makes appointments to various volunteer boards and commissions that act in an advisory and quasi-judicial role for the Village. The Mayor and Village Council appoints the Village Administrator, Village Attorney, and Village Engineer for services. All Council actions are made with the primary goals of preservation of the quiet, tranquil and unusually attractive village atmosphere and retaining and enhancing the quality of life for its present and future residents and their visitors.
